Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting as a reporter at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. O'Dell later became morning news anchor for WCBD TV and was the crime reporter. In Charleston O'Dell's reporting regarding the police's lenient approach towards DUI cases resulted in a State Law Enforcement Division investigation that led to states authorities again releasing the strictest guidelines regarding DUI instances.
